World Cup 2019: 87-year-old Charulata Patel cheering for Team India is winning the social media

An 87-year-old Indian fan, Charulata Patel, storms the social media on Tuesday after she was seen cheering for the Indian team during their World Cup clash against Bangladesh. "Indian will win the tournament," she said during the interview.

Team India on Tuesday, sealed their spot for the semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup 2019 by defeating Bangladesh by 28 runs. Rohit Sharma, who scored an unbeaten century of 109 runs in 102 balls had won the Man-of-match. However, it was not only him and the Indian team who were trending on social media, but it was also an 87-year-old Indian woman who was trending online and won the hearts of many Indian fans. 

Charulata Patel, an 87-year-old Indian fan was seen cheering for Team India during the match. Patel said that she is a big fan of the Indian team and was also present in the stadium when India lifted their first World Cup, back in 1983, under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. Patel informed ANI that she is a very religious person and emphasised that India is going to win the ongoing Cricket World Cup.

"I pray to god too much and I am a very religious person and have so much trust in God. So, whenever Indian cricket team plays, I pray for them and it comes true and I am saying that India is going to get the World Cup, definitely," Patel told ANI during the interview.

"I have been watching cricket for decades. I used to watch it when I was in Africa and then I came to this country in 1975. I had a lot of work here because of which I did not get time to watch however I used to watch it on TV. As I am not working nowadays, I have the interest to watch in the stadium and I am very lucky that I get a chance to watch cricket," she added.
Charulata Patel has also won many hearts in social media and many of them posted tweets with her pictures tagging her as the 'real beauty'.
