The decision to demolish 'Praja Vedika' comes in as the wake of its stand against illegal construction in the area of River Conversation. The decision taken by the government is claimed as a move to save the River Front, as the Praja Vedika building falls under River Conservation Area.

This news came in as a shock to Chandra Babu Naidu as he had previously wrote a letter to YS Jagan, as a request to announce 'Praja Vedika' as residential annex for the leader of opposition. Through the letter, the TDP chief said, 'Post assembly elections 2019, following the demitting of CM office, I have decided to retain the same private house, as per the agreed terms and conditions of the private owner of the property. Since 'Praja Vedika' is located beside my existing residence, I am planning to retain it for my official use'.

However, the CM has rejected his request and decided to demolish the building. Now, speculations are being raised that Chandrababu Naidu's residence which also falls under River Conversation Area would be the next. This is seen as a big blow to Chandrababu both personally as well as politically.

Earlier, on Thursday, 4 of the 6 party's MPs joined BJP by leaving the TDP which left the party in crisis and was left as a shock to Chandra Babu. And now, in addition to that, the CM's decision to demolish the 'Praja Vedika' will be another upset for Chandra Babu Naidu.
